“We play for you, Valencia”
Cristhian Mosquera, Javi Guerra and Diego López will compete with Spain's Under-21 side
We are shocked by the message that the superliga is the solution to modern football.
The Super League as presented in the last few days is a pure money project that is anti-football. To suggest that the football is economically ruined is avoiding the issue at hand.
The problems of modern football are created by excesses of these same clubs that are unilaterally taking on an unsustainable solution. Crazy inflation in transfer prices and salaries were created by these same clubs. This will further perpetuate the super inflation of the past and deepen the problem, instead of solving it. Financial Fair Play is an important concept but it has not reached the minds of those who run football clubs.
The current idea of the Super League destroys the very essence of football and tears apart the football world. The beauty of football for the people is lost with this plan. Some owners of football clubs must understand tradition and the role of football in society.
It is clear. Football has never been improved by a private group of 20. We hope that this will be reviewed and people come to their senses. The solution to modern football is to accept the past mistakes and fix them together as a football community.
UEFA has made many changes to improve the competition.
LaLiga has grown our TV rights considerably and distributed well to grow football. The other leagues have been doing the same. VCF has also been very responsible to take on the challenge of the current problems, even to the extent of reducing our budget and investing significantly in the academy to prepare for the future.
Football is not ruined. We need to manage this together and solve it responsibly. Growing this bubble is irresponsible. It will burst.
